Indo-China Conflict of 1962
India and China are two giants of Asia and none less than the other, as per Deloitte[4] and Moody’s, India will surpass China in the development and growth rate in about next five years. Geo-politically there has been a conflict between these two giants is primitive where region dispute reaches at par many a times. Recently both of them stood with red eye towards each other in a three months long Doklam Stand off. But 55 years back an event occurred when these two nations actually came into war like situation with each other. The then Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru considered China and especially Mao Zedong to be his friend and anticipated strong Trade, Cultural and Diplomatic relations with each other but China had some other plans. As the so called friend contested their claim on Aksai Chin in Ladakh region and North East Frontier Agency (now Arunachal Pradesh) and want this region under their control, hence they launched a month long full fledged attack against India on October 23, 1962 in both these regions with heavy infantry supported by artillery.
